Recycled By God

God not only has a wonderful awesome ability to create, He has an even more amazing ability to recreate -- to renew -- to recycle. God cleans up our world after we dirty it up and pollute it. Have you ever noticed how clean our world is after a good rain or a good wind? I sometimes have problems with my nose because of pollution. God provides wind to blow away some of the pollution. My nose gets better.

Some day God is going to burn up this creation and there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The new ones will be clean and pure and eternal and nothing and nobody will be able to pollute them. The new heaven and the new earth will be the perfect abiding place for God*s kingdom and His people and His angels.

God also does some wonderful work in our bodies. I have heard that every 7 years every cell in our bodies dies and is replaced. God designed them that way. When we cut our skin, thousands of platelets in our blood rush to form a scar and stop the bleeding. The scar will stay there until the healing is complete and then fall off. Sometimes the healing is so complete there is no scar. God made our blood that way. When we break a bone, the broken place mends stronger than the original bone. God designed our bones that way. God has given doctors the know-how to replace some of our body parts. Heart transplants, kidney transplants, bone marrow transplants, blood transfusions, skin grafting are just a few.

Some day God is going to resurrect all of us who have died. Those of us who have trusted Jesus will have bodies like unto His glorious body.

Philippians 3:20-21: For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Those who have not trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ are also going to be resurrected and have bodies. The Bible doesn*t get specific about their bodies. But one thing we know is that their bodies will be eternal. They will endure the torments of the lake of fire forever in spite of the torturous judgment there. Their existence in that horrible place will never end.

Which kind of body are you going to have? Are you going to have one like Christ*s or a tormented one?

God is able to take a man*s dead spirit and make it alive unto Himself.

Ephesians 2:1-6: And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Because God*s process of recycling is so wonderful, the Bible describes it in many ways such as born again, regenerated, getting a right spirit, getting a new heart, getting a clean heart, having a circumcision made without hands.

Psalms 51:10: Create in me a clean heart, O God: And renew a right spirit within me.

Colossians 2:11: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Has God recycled you? Has Jesus come into your heart? He cannot and will not live in our old sinful hearts. In 1985 I gave my wicked old heart to the Lord. He forgave my sin and gave me a clean new heart where Jesus could live. Would you like to have a clean new heart with Jesus in it? Receive Him into your heart today. Then the same thing will be true of you that Paul prayed for the Ephesians.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; . . .
